H&L Tooth Company History since 1931:

The Whisler 12 base adapter was first designed by H&L Tooth and introduced in 1991 by the Bucyrus-Eire Company. The 3705F continued as the OEM offering until the early 2000s by Bucyrus International, Inc.  H&L’s 3705F-HE-546 key and clamp connection (B-E #82002139) was developed for the BE-495 Cable Shovels, now known as Caterpillar Model 7495.   Today, H&L continues to produce the “Original” Whisler 12-Series Base Adapter with H&L’s 546-Series Flexhol tooth system and 646 Hammerless tooth system.
