H&L Tooth Company History since 1931:
The CPS 12 base adapter was first designed by H&L Tooth as a LOW-MAINTENANCE Whisler type Mining system in 1989. The CPS patent was granted at the beginning of 1992. H&L’s original “Circular bearing Periphery System” project was developed for the P&H 2800, Whisler 10 lip field modification (see 74.2003 publication). Other CPS offerings include Caterpillar’s 994 Key and Clamp Attachment MAA. Today, H&L continues to produce the “Original” patented CPS 12-Series Base Adapters utilizing H&L’s 546-Series Flexhol tooth system and 646 Hammerless tooth system.
